Evaluation of anxiety frequency in school-aged children with diabetes mellitus type 1 depending on carbohydrate metabolism compensation

Navmenova Yana , Makhlina Elena , Rusalenko Maria

To study anxiety frequency in school-aged children with diabetes mellitus type 1 (DM type 1) depending on carbohydrate metabolism compensation.Materials and methods: 96 patients with DM type 1 aged 13.9 ± 1.97 years. Diabetes duration is 1.72 ± 22.33 Year. We determined glycated hemoglobin (НbA1). The level of HbA1 of 7.5% or more indicated the decompensation of carbohydrate metabolism. Evaluation of the anxiety level was carried out usin...

Combination of coronary heart disease (CHD) with diabetes mellitus type 2 significantly increases the risk of left ventricular remodeling. The objective of the study was to determine the association of biomarkers of myocardial fibrosis with the level of glycaemia at CHD in patients with and without DM type 2.Methods: We have examined 104 patients with CHD of everage age 64.9±0.3 years old, 27 of them were with DM type 2; 77 patients were without DM ...

Metabolic control in patients with 1 diabetes mellitus associated with depression

Navmenova Yana , Mokhort Tatiana , Mahlina Elena , Rusalenko Maria

Objective: The assessment of glycemic control and concentration of lipids in the blood in patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus (DM-1), depending on the presence of depression (DP).Methods: There were examined 163 patients with DM-1. To assess severity of DP there was used Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS). There were determined the level of fasting blood glucose (BG), BG level in 2 hours after a meal, the average daily BG level for 3 days an...

Endothelial dysfunction in diabetes mellitus

Rozhko Alexander , Rodzina Elena , Savasteeva Irina , Rusalenko Maria

Objective: To identify the frequency of occurrence of endothelial dysfunction dorsalis pedis arteries in diabetes.Materials and methods: patients with diabetes mellitus, with no complaints of the legs were examined (aged 40.25±3.12, duration of diabetes 12.50±1.25). Endothelial dysfunction was studied with high-resolution ultrasound (9 MHz) and diagnosed in the absence of growth in artery diameter in response to reactive hyperemia >10% or a...

Predictors of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease in metabolic syndrome

Savasteeva Irina , Rozhko Alexander , Selkina Veronica , Navmenova Yana , Rusalenko Maria

The results of a survey of 209 patients with Diabetes mellitus type 2 (DM 2) and 94 patients with X-syndrome were analyzed. Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is verified in 91.9% of cases with DM 2 and 83.0% with X-syndrome. Predictors that significantly influenced the development of NAFLD in X-syndrome have been identified: age (b=0.07; Exp (b)=1.07(1.02÷1.14); P<0.02); body mass index (b=0.37, Exp(b)=1.45 (1.16÷1.81), P<0.001), tot...

Given the significant correlation between the indices of lipid metabolism, liver dimensions, glycated hemoglobin and indicators cytolysis of hepatocytes identified a number of predictors that have had a significant influence on the formation of NAFLD. At a BMI above 26.5 kg/m2, the relative risk (RR) for BMI was 20.02 and was statistically significant (8.25÷48.61). When VLDL level above 0.6 mmol/l relative risk for NAFLD also was statistically significant (RR=2...
